How LiDAR Sensor Works?

Today, LiDAR technology is expected to show its talents in many fields. Do you know how lidar works?

According to the measurement principle, laser radar can be divided into triangular laser radar, pulse laser radar and coherent laser radar.  Today we will analyze the laser radar based on pulse ranging.  

Lidar based on pulse method uses the speed of light ranging.  A laser emitter emits laser pulses, and a timer records the launch time;  The pulse is received by the receiver after being reflected by the object, and the timer records the receiving time;  Multiply the time difference by the speed of light to get twice the distance.  This method is used to measure the distance between radar and obstacles. That’s how our laser distance sensor works.
