Laser ranging principle：

1. Laser ranging is roughly divided into two types

The first principle is roughly half of the product of the speed of light and the round trip time, which is the distance between the range finder and the object to be measured, taking the laser range finder as an example;

The second method is based on the principle of laser displacement sensor.

2. Laser measurement method

There are roughly three methods for measuring laser light, pulse method (laser echo method), phase method, and triangular reflection method.

a, the accuracy of the distance measurement by the pulse method is generally around +/- 1 meter. In addition, the measurement dead zone of such a range finder is generally about 15 meters. (The laser echo analysis rule is used for long distance measurements.)

b. Triangulation is used to measure short-range distances below 2000mm (known as displacement in the industry) with an accuracy of up to 1um.

c. Phase laser ranging is generally used in precision ranging, and the accuracy is generally millimeter.
