Usually in daily environment, such as the range finder used for house measurement, it can be directly measured with smooth wall reflection, mainly because the distance is relatively short, and the intensity of the signal reflected by the light is large enough. However, in the case of strong outdoor dust, water mist or strong sunlight, if you need precise distance measurement, you need to use the reflector, and it is best to keep it perpendicular to the target when measuring the distance, otherwise the return signal is too weak and the precise distance cannot be obtained .

In actual engineering, a white reflecting plate will be used to solve the problem that the reflecting surface is too poor.
