The resolution & precision difference of range sensors_JRT

As for laser measuring sensor, resolution and accuracy are two very important data. Sometimes users confuse resolution and precision. They think resolution and accuracy are the same. In fact, resolution and accuracy are two different data of radar sensor. Resolution is not accuracy.
In order to understand the difference between accuracy and resolution better, I will give you an example.

Currently, our M703A laser rangefinder sensor can measure 40m with high accuracy 1mm, small size: 45*25*12mm. But M703A laser sensor has different version.
The first version is with 1mm precision and 1mm resolution, for example: 1235mm
The second version is a customized version with 0.1mm resolution for M703A range sensor, for example: 1235.1mm. It’s 1mm accuracy but the resolution is 0.1mm.
Many customers like a customized version with 0.1mm resolution for M703A laser module, so if you are interested 1mm precision with 0.1mm resolution, please feel free to contact us!!!
